I always enjoyed photography but it wasn't until I got my first 35mm camera that I became serious about my photography. First there were classes to learn how to work in a darkroom which opened up all sorts of creative possibilities. Then classes that focused on landscapes and story telling. As digital photography became more prominent I continued to apply what I learned in the darkroom to my creative process.
As an artist I challenge myself to find new ways to create distinctive visual art. I create artwork that includes handmade photographs on glass, wood and other mediums. I create artwork printed on fabric that utilizes optical illusions to create the effect of a changing image. I make paper, print my images on the paper and then use the paper to create wall hangings and three dimensional art.
My approach to creating art results in each piece being one of a kind.
